- For: Styling, cabin, technology
- Against: Cramped rear space, high prices
- Verdict: Probably the best family SUV you can buy
The multi-award-winning Peugeot 3008 is one of the best family SUVs on sale.
Three years on from its launch, it looks better than ever, with styling that’s a cut above the rest.
The good vibes continue on the inside, thanks to a cabin that’s high on perceived quality and loaded with standard equipment.
The range consists of Active, Allure, GT Line, GT Line Premium and GT trim levels.
The GT is only available with a 180hp 2.0-litre diesel engine and a choice of two- and four-wheel-drive hybrid powertrains. These hybrid models will push the 3008’s price beyond £40,000, but offer CO2 emissions as low as 29g/km. Other engines include a 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel.
There’s also a huge 512-litre boot. Only an underwhelming driving experience, cramped rear seats and high prices at the top of the range prevent the Peugeot 3008 from getting a full five stars.
