- For: Seven seats, practicality, equipment
- Against: Tight in third row, unfashionable
- Verdict: Still one of the best seven-seat MPVs
The Citroen Grand C4 SpaceTourer is the seven-seat MPV formerly known as the Grand C4 Picasso.
It’s fundamentally the same car; Citroen just decided it no longer wanted to pay royalties to use the Picasso name.
It’s also worth noting that the five-seat C4 SpaceTourer is no longer available, so you’re limited to going seven-up.
Not that this is a bad thing: since launch in 2013, the Citroen has remained one of the most stylish, practical and tech-laden people carriers you can buy.
There are three trim levels: Touch Plus, Feel Plus and Flair Plus. Even t
he entry-level version is well-equipped, although the top-spec model boasts the latest safety kit. There’s one petrol engine and two versions of the same 1.6-litre diesel, with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
It might not be fashionable, but the big Citroen offers a level of versatility a seven-seat SUV can only aspire to.
