Genesis is giving 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed visitors a world debut with the public reveal of the G70 Shooting Brake.

Set to be sold only in Europe, the new load-lugging G70, a rival to the BMW 3 Series Touring, will star on the new premium brand’s stand at FOS 2021.

The Duke of Richmond will pull the covers off during the opening day, alongside Genesis Motor Europe MD Dominique Boesch.

Genesis will also give its new Genesis X Concept EV its European debut at the festival.

Dominique Boesch said: “We are thrilled to unveil the G70 Shooting Brake for the very first time as well as marking the European debut of the Genesis X at the world-famous Goodwood Festival of Speed.

“Honouring the region is so important to Genesis, which is why we chose to debut both vehicles at the distinguished British festival.

“In particular, the G70 Shooting Brake recognises the automotive heritage of Europe in both name and iconic design, unmistakably demonstrating the brand’s commitment to the region”.

It won’t just be a static display, either: Genesis has promised to give the car a dynamic demonstration by driving it up the famous Hill Climb as well.

The 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed has this week been confirmed to take place with a capacity crowd. It will run from 8-11 July.
