- For: Range, performance, sumptuous interior
- Against: Infotainment system, high price
- Verdict: One of the best EVs money can buy
Launched in 2018, the I-Pace was one of the first electric cars to threaten Tesla’s dominance at the top end of the segment.
Built from the ground up as an EV, it boasts 292 miles of range on a single charge, plus a 0-62mph time of 4.8 seconds.

You can make up your own mind on the pseudo-SUV styling – we think it looks great – but you will certainly be impressed by the cabin. The 656-litre boot is massive, too.
The electric car driving experience offers the best of both worlds: sporty when you want it, relaxing when you don’t.
It even does off-roading with aplomb, with Jaguar seemingly taking lessons from sister brand Land Rover.
This is all pointing to a positive review. Indeed, we called the I-Pace a ‘landmark car’ after our first drive in Portugal.
Negatives? The infotainment system could be better and the top-spec HSE model is rather expensive (£74,445, versus £65,245 for the entry-level I-Pace S).
That said, we found some seriously tempting lease deals. How does £550 a month sound?
